It’s not often that I’m willing to awaken before the sun. But when I get to photograph a lovely couple like Gabe and Nicole at Roxborough State Park in front of an incredible sunrise, you bet I will! The way the stunning rock formations come ablaze as the sun creeps over the horizon is a must-see.

And even more beautiful than the park itself? Yep, you guessed it: Gabe and Nicole’s relationship. They met through Gabe’s sister a few years back and started dating while Nicole was still attending college. They survived a stint of long distance dating when Nicole moved to Denver — but it wasn’t long before Gabe moved to be with her! When they finally got an apartment to call their own, Gabe asked Nicole to marry him, and she of course said YES.

Gabe and Nicole are genuine, kind, fun people. From cat shirts and amazing nails (seriously, Nicole’s are always so cool) to awesome tattoos and killer dressed-up style, Gabe and Nicole are authentically themselves. It’s honestly a pleasure to spend time with them, especially when you get to see the love in each other’s eyes as they look at each other. Or the way they just can’t stop laughing when they’re together.

Although their wedding is nearly a year away, I’m already looking forward to capturing their day and seeing how much their love has grown! Gabe and Nicole, I hope you enjoy these photos as much as I enjoyed taking them. May they bring smiles to your faces for many years to come.
